Meet Jen, an Irish intern, who’s here with Capacity Ireland working as a ceramics studio assistant here in Seville. We caught up with Jen to talk about her experience here and how she is enjoying her time so far.

How are you finding the experience so far?
“I think I’ve grown a lot within the role and I’ve grown in confidence. I always had a kind of fear of ceremics even though I studied it in college it was more of the fine art side of things. This job is more of just enjoying the process, learning from other people and a much more relaxed environment.”
How will your job here help your future career?
“This experience has definitely given me the confidence to pursue creative work and just see myself working in a creative industry. I’ve had a dream to have my own studio and run classes and this experience has shown me that it’s possible and to see what it’s like on a weekly basis.”

How are you finding the Spanish lifestyle?
“The beauty of seville is that it’s a small city but theres so much to do. The nightlife here is very good, there’s lots of varied places to go. You can go for tapas with friends quite late at night, which is great because I’m a night owl. That might lead into possible bar, possible nightclub.”
