3Si met with partners in the Netherlands for our latest Erasmus+ project
We were delighted to meet with our European partners, Capacity London, Capacity Ireland, Centro Studi e Formazione Villa Montesca, Federation of European Publishers and our host partner Dutch Foundation of Innovation Welfare 2 Work, in the beautiful Dutch city of Leiden last week to continue work on our latest Erasmus+ project: ECVET for Digital Publishing. Together we aim to create and deliver a credit-based Digital Publishing qualification that will eventually be recognised in each of the countries involved.

By listening to industry needs and receiving guidance from our expert partner, the Federation of European Publishers, the project will ensure that the learning outcomes and content of the qualification remain relevant to the latest digital advances, trends and legislative environment within the digital publishing sector.
We expect around 50 learners will undertake this new qualification as part of our piloting phase next year. The vocational course will offer the opportunity to gain the skills and insight needed to begin a career in a booming industry that is changing as a result of digitalisation.

Learners will be introduced to digital publishing and content, production, design, marketing, as well as develop an understanding of emerging business models.
The next steps for our partnership are finalising the course framework and assessment, before moving on to developing content for each of the units.

The new course will become part of the Digiblox suite of qualifications that teach digital skills. Read our blog on the importance of digital education and upskilling for young people.
We are already looking forward to meeting everyone again when we host the next meeting here in Seville next year. Stay tuned for more information as the project progresses!
