During the 90 day internship our graduates stay in the neighbourhood of La Macarena, located north of the city centre of Seville. To make their stay as easy as possible we have created a video to tell you a little bit about the area and where to shop! Below, you’ll be able to see the location of each place mentioned in the video, as well as find out more about some of the essential services like the pharmacies, medical centres etc.
Groceries
Mercadona – The cheapest supermarket around.
Dia – Smaller than Mercadona with higher prices.
Lidl – A bit more expensive, but with products similar to the ones in Ireland and the UK.
Most of the above stores are unfortunately closed on Sundays, but don’t worry! If you forgot to do your shopping or are in need of something urgent there is a Carrefour Express just by the Macarena Arch, open from 9am – 10pm on Sundays!

Local Vendors
Fruteria Gutierrez – Full of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Pescados Y Mariscos “Adela” – The best place to get fresh fish and sea food.
Dragon Volador – Full of homeware and stationary. Anything you can think of, they probably have.

Cafe
Bodega La Manchega – A very cheap breakfast option with great service.
Bar La Tita Rita – Many breakfast options available like pancakes, tostadas etc.
Pastelería El Petisú – Delicious cakes and pastries. Also, serving tostadas in the morning.

Pharmacy
Farmacia Macarena – Open 24/7
Farmacia La Carrasca – Open 8am – 8:30pm every Monday to Friday. 9:30am – 2pm on Saturday.
Farmacia Carmen Pinto Maestre – 9am – 2pm with a break in the middle of the day until 5pm – 8:30pm Monday to Friday.
If you’re in need of any medical attention the Medical Centre is open Monday to Friday 8am – 8pm OR the Macarena Hospital. Make sure to look at the Welcome Pack you received in your first week for more information about filling out the forms and booking your appointment.
After all the necessary chores. Do something nice for yourself and go on a shopping crawl around all the vintage shops you can find here!
