If you’re looking to experience some live music during your stay in Seville, there are many places and events you can go to. The city is full of lively concerts of all genres; below is a list of musical venues and events to look out for.
The Asociación Sevillana de Jazz (Sevillian Jazz Association), or Assejazz for short, is an organisation formed by Sevillian musicians who are passionate about spreading the music genre. With the main goals of raising interest in Jazz and creating spaces for musical collaboration, Assejazz organises concerts and jam sessions in multiple music venues in the city. Here you can find their upcoming events, make sure to check one out!
2. Anima Galería Taberna
Located a few blocks away from Alameda de Hércules, Anima Galería Taberna is a live music venue featuring genres such as flamenco, jazz and rock. This place is also a gallery space where many artists have exhibited their work. If you are interested in visiting, take a look at their schedule for the upcoming weeks.
The cultural hub Platea is home for many live jazz sessions and a cozy café, located on the top floor of the Centro Comercial Plaza de Armas. It will host live concerts organised by the aforementioned association Assejazz every Sunday of May at 1:00 pm, with free entry until maximum capacity is reached. 4. Gallo Rojo
For a nice beer and live jazz, visit Gallo Rojo, the setting for various cultural displays such as book readings, art exhibitions, and concerts. This multipurpose venue serves artisanal beers and other drinks to enjoy alongside their live performances. Their agenda lists all upcoming events.
