Granada is accessible from Seville by bus with Omio or rental car through Alamo that you can collect and drop off in Seville. It is less than a three-hour journey so it is perfect for a change of scenery for a weekend trip.
There are many hostels and hotels to choose from, but be sure to book in advance for the best deals! It is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and you will enjoy incredible views of them across Granada’s skyline.

Alhambra
Granada is known for its beautiful Moorish architecture. The most famous is the Alahambra, which is one of the most visited tourist sites in Spain. Be sure to book your ticket for this far in advance, as they do sell out!
It is an incredible hilltop fortress which dates back to 1238. You will spend the full day here when you visit and still want more! Prepare to spend hours rambling through the stunning gardens, viewpoints and palace.
There are plenty of shops and places to eat to keep you energised to keep exploring. There is also onsite accommodation if you would really like to immerse yourself in this incredible space.

Tours
There is so much to do and see in Granada. From the beautiful city to the incredible nature of the surrounding hills. Why not try a tour, see some amazing sights and meet other travelers? There is something for everyone!
City Tour – This hop-on hop-off tour is a really affordable option if you want to see the city and get information about the area.
Biking in the Mountains – For the more adventurous travellers, this e-bike tour of the Sierra Nevada mountains may appeal to you! The mountain range features Spain’s highest mountain Mulhacén, and attracts tourists all year for hiking in the summer and skiing in the Winter.
Walking the hanging bridges of Los Cahorros – This is another tour that may appeal to the explorers! Also to those who prefer moving at a slower pace or may want to take pictures, which is made more difficult on the bike tour.!
